THE GALWAY Americana Festival 2009 programme was launched last Friday at The Crane Bar to a large captive crowd with music provided by the excellent Jeff and Vida Band. The festival runs from September 10 to 13.

Niamh Jones, owner of Xhaleyoga in Headford, has more than 10 years’ experience working in the yoga, healing, and fitness industry. She was introduced to Bikram hot yoga in Australia and went on to Los Angeles, California, to train with Bikram Choudry. She was the first to bring Bikram yoga to Ireland and Galway some eight years ago. She is also a certified Ashtanga yoga instructor and specialises in yoga therapy for back problems.
